WebCasting worldwide live over the Internet is a simple operation. All you need is a computer with a modem, and an Internet connection. The
CyberSports’ WebCast Module does all the rest.
Live WebCasting not only adds fun and excitement to your program, it also
creates an immediate source for game results including a detailed,
printable game reports. Webcast results will remain on the Internet for
post game viewing for the entire season.
Webcasts can be viewed on the www.CybersportsUSA.com
website and can be easily linked to your own website if desired.
There are two approaches to setting up your courtside computers for Webcasting. Most
users will be using a single computer for recording stats and for
Webcasting. Some may want to use two computers that are networked together, where one is used for recording stats and the other runs the Webcasting software and
is connected to the Internet.
The two-computer configuration allows the Webcast to be watched and re-started, if necessary, without having to interrupt the statistician. However, this takes more equipment
and occupies more space. Webcasting has shown to be efficient and reliable by using a single computer, but if the Internet connection is lost then the Webcast will be interrupted
until the statistician has time to reset the connection and re-start the Webcast.
If you are using a Laptop computer, keep in mind that most laptops will run twice as fast
if they are connected to an outlet rather than running off of their battery. Also be sure
that you are using the latest 4.9 version of CyberSports for Basketball. You can check your version number by clicking
Help on the manin menu bar and selecting "About the Game Module" option. The version number will be
displayed.
- Using the Game Module create or open the game (.BBG) file.
- Click on PreGame/Preferences and select the Other tab. Check that the
Auto Save Option is set to "Full Autosave".
- Check the PreGame/Setup to make sure that team abbreviations are entered on both teams files.
- In the PreGame/Setup "Comments" text box, type in a brief game description such as "Southeast Conference Mens's Game"
- If any changes were made to the game file, select File then Save and replace the current game file.
- Temporarily minimize the Game Module.
Note: Be sure to take the time to complete the free team page. Not only does the team page give viewers, worldwide, access to your team's roster and schedule, it also list your games on the webcast schedule (Today's, Tommorow's and Yesterday's games).
- Establish a connection to your Internet Provider. Generally
this is done with a dialup network connection on your computer.
- Minimize your Internet connection and maximize the CyberSports' Game
Module.
If you experience connections problems, have your technology person
check the connection. Also see "Trouble Shooting" in

Optional WebCast Banner: The prefix file is the banner that appears across the top of
your Webcast and can be used for advertising. The prefix file should be located in the
root directory of the statisticians computer: c:\prefix.html. The prefix file must be
an .html file and should be named prefix.html. To activate your prefix file, on the
Webcast Module dialog click Setup and select the Web Export option. In the
Source File's Prefix file text box type in "C:\prefix.html". For help
creating your banner, click here.

has been checked, click the "Start New Period" button under the
clock to add an end of game marker to the game file.
