Program Updates: Laptop Installation

The CyberSports updates are too large to fit on a single floppy disk. Therefore, to update the CyberSports on a computer that cannot be connected directly to the Internet, you must first download the update to a computer that can and then transfer the files to the laptop computer.

To install the upgrade on your laptop:

First download the desired update from the download section on our website.
Next, Run the installation on the computer to which you downloaded. Even if you do not have CyberSports for Basketball on this computer, you can still run the update program. When the program completes, you will find a copy of the necessary files on the hard drive.

Note: If you do not want to complete the installation on this computer, after you select [ Yes ] to the License Agreement, you may click [ Cancel ] and then [ Exit Setup ]. The files needed for the laptop installation are now available for copying.
In the Windows folder you'll see one called Temp. Open it. In the Temp folder you should see a folder called "CyberSports for Basketball". Open it. You should see 17 files.

If you don't see all 17 files, then one or more of them must be hidden. If this happens, then you must modify Windows Explorer so that you can see all 17 files.

Windows 95: If you're using Windows 95, click on View then Options. Click the Show All Files button, and then click [OK ].

Windows ME: Select Tools then the Folder Options. Click on the View tab. Click [OK ].

Once you see all 17 files, you can transfer them to your laptop by copying them first onto two floppy disks. All of the files won’t fit onto one floppy.
Next, create a temporary folder on the laptop and then copy the files from the floppy disks into this folder. This folder can be located anywhere. Be sure to copy all 17 files to this one temporary folder on your laptop.
After all 17 files have been copied into a folder on your laptop, open the folder and double-click the file named Setup.exe.
This will install the update onto the laptop. Just follow the installation instructions that appear on the screen. The updating should only take a few moments.
